How do I customize or rearrange the order of my posts on my wordpress blog?

by 5 comments
Wordpress automatically organizes your post based on the day you posted it it (with the exception of sticky posts).

However, some of my newer posts are not as good as some of the popular classics and I want those to be shown at the top of the page so users stay on my site when they first find it on google.

How do I customize the order in which my posts are displayed?

I've searched for wordpress plugins but the ones I found allow you to organize it by picking a top post from each category to show but I'm looking for something really simple that just lets you order the posts as you wish without having to just pick 1 post from each category to display.

If you would be kind enough to help me out, I would really appreciate it.

Plus, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's curious about how to do this.

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

Just change the dates on the posts you want to appear at the top to a date that is newer than posts you don't want to show up.

There is a plugin I know of that I use on one of my sites,it's called AStickyPostOrderER
It lets you arrange the posts in the order you want them to be in,I think that's what you are looking for.

Rotten72 - that's the simplest and most brilliant thing I've come across in awhile. Great thinking.
Sam Rob - I googled it and clicked the first result - it's an Easy Guide to Displaying Custom Post Types from wpmu.org. Didn't help at all.
