Client wants example site created (price question)

Hi,

I've not been doing much web design at the moment as I've been doing various other things, but my client has a fresh business started up and he has investors etc, he needs a site created in the near future but he wants to pay me to create an 'example' site, more of a skeleton site to show the investors, basic layout etc,

How much would you charge for this? (Sorry for the broad question, I know the price varies but just a rough price would help me better than anything)

    Why I say this? Bear in mind that many agencies start pricing simple 4+ page brochure websites at around £450+ (in my experience).

    Therefore, a starting price that's around £150 seems fair, as if they decide to keep you working on the website, you can add an extra £2-400 on top of that for the design itself and development.

    Hope this makes any sense.

      Price what an entire site would cost then divide that by the work required to do just the EXAMPLE site. We have used mockups and examples to solidify/sell concepts/clients/etc.

      Consider giving the entire site/project a Premium Price. Then back into a price for the EXAMPLE. Possibly give the client a great deal for the EXAMPLE site as a favor.

      Make sure you lead with the Premium Price first then show them how you will help by making concessions with EXAMPLE site.
