Hello

I am at the beginning of starting an internet business and have just parked a domain name for myself. I now need to focus my time on building my website.

I will only be selling a single package of products so I do not need an elaborate site, but I do need it to look a quality site.

Can anyone suggest a good website software that I can work with without being too complicated or recommend a low cost designer who could do the work for me.

I appreciate that I should be trying to do everything myself but I must admit its harder than I had thought. I would therefore be grateful for your guidance.

Regards
Barry

Hi Barry, if you dont have any experience with website design/coding and wanted it to be a quality site, i strongly recommend you to ask any designer in the WF because there is no way you can learn and make website for only 15mins. There are many free software available to assist you in web coding such as NVU but the WYSIWYG(What You See Is What You Get) software output codes are too cluttered and will make your website load slower. To deal with it you must understand how to read and edit the tags, css etc. And lastly, you have to learn how to design your site

    Good luck to you,

    Shah.

Agreed. If you want to penetrate the market as quickly as possible, going with a designer is the solution. Otherwise you're looking at a learning curve with any solution you purchase.

          Hi Barry,

Division of work and getting works that need some special skills done by professional, will help you in the long run. It will help you focus on the marketing promotion or even product development part.

I have been designing websites and graphics for a long time. I have worked with a few hundred clients, mostly Warriors. Due to my affordable price most of my clients are regular buyers.

I can show you some sample works. Just send me a PM if you are interested.

          Rgds,

          Stephen

I agree with the above posts - and personally I am adamantly against WYSIWYG applications (Dreamweaver is the best of the lot, but that's not saying much).

Go with a professional designer, and try to have a 'brand' if you will: It may cost a bit extra to have someone flesh out a logo and style conventions to create your business image, but doing so builds confidence in your customers because it's consistent, coherent, and gives them and helps your customers know what you represent.

            Just a thought...

              Hello Derekland

Thanks for your reply, you are right of course as I want my website to reflect quality as I do with my products. I will have to come to terms that I can't do everything myself.
              Thanks

                Hi Barry,

You could use a script to create your website with built in shopping cart et. The are quite a few of these around.
