Spiders see one phone number, customers see a different phone number

I know one of the fundamentals of local SEO (particulary Google Places SEO) is to make sure your local contact information is listed on each page of your website, in the exact same format as your directory listings.

This makes it difficult to use tracking numbers on your website, since Google's spiders are looking for your "real" phone number.

Any ideas how to have the search engine spiders see your real number, while the human visitors see the tracking number?

Perhaps a delayed script to change the text, or covering the text with an image?

Making the tracking number a graphic might be the easiest way to take care of it.
