Best and most Unique WordPress Plugins

I'm doing some research on Wordpress plugins.

I want to find out what everyone here thinks are the most important, useful plugins out today.

Also I'm interested in any that are less known but still useful.

In the main section there is an "all-in" sticky for WP plugins and stuff

Regardless, people are posting this type of questions everywhere

For your question: I don't think there are "important" plugins. And what could be useful in the case of a specific site of mine, could prove totally useless and resource hog for your site.

I am firmly convinced there are no universally needed plugins... maybe the antispam is an exception

WordPress provides an excellent platform for new and experienced bloggers to build their own blogs. Good wordpress plugins makes a good wordpress blog. In this post, I'm listing out the Top 10 most used and 'must use' wordpress plugins of all time.

I like to use "Statpress" to monitor visitor traffic and "sexybookmarks" for people to highligh my site to their social networks.
