I've used Jing and know of a couple others..does anyone know of one that will allow you to apply separate audio to the same video? For example show something different to someone on the screen but I can slap the same audio of myself explaining it onto each video?

Try My Screen Recorder. It records the screen and audio from the speakers or your voice from the microphone - or both simultaneously. It's easy to use, and records directly to standard AVI or WMV format files that playback perfectly on YouTube. Download here:

If you are using a PC you could use Movie Maker to combine your audio track with your video footage.

I've used camtasia for a while...It does have a learning curve though. I saw this the other day on a wp template that i bought and thought it was really cool. google "screenr" Anyone try it? It looks really easy and slick.

Yeh, camtasia is good. But you could just use video editing software. Even something as simple as windows video maker, you could just watch the video again and record your voice and stick it on as a soundtrack

If you are used to linux, try openshot. I think its better than camstudio.

CamStudio is great and easy to work with once you've learned the basics. You can master it in a day and it's very powerful.

As many already have mentioned here, you can use virtually any video editing software and just continue using your screen recorder software.

I really like Camtasia since it combines a screen recorder and really easy-to-use video editing. I nearly go crazy with stuff like Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas, but Camtasia is just dead easy. That's why I use it for virtually everything, even the videos that I didn't record with camtasia. You can just drag and drop your videos and audio tracks on the storyline and cut out the parts you don't want or exchange audio.
