    It is pretty cool, I have looked for something similar on wordpress and haven't seen anything that good.

    It uses the Kwicks jquery plugin to do that. Kwicks is free but you'll have to know a little bit about Wordpress theme-ing in order to make it work with Wordpress and to style it that way. I don't think there is a plugin for it just yet.

    There are a lot of themes out there that have it already built in though - there is even a free one at Wordpress.org:

    wordpress.org/extend/themes/minimatica

    If you ever see a site that has features that you like and wondering what code they use, looking at the page source can often help a lot. Looking at their pagesource, I can see their css file points to a Wordpress theme called Simplicius.

    It could even be the MooTools Kwicks plugin featured on the David Walsh Blog. Could be using Jquery and being used inside a WordPress Slider Plugin or NextGen Gallery customization. The demo I saw of the MooTools Kwicks Plugin results in much the same behavior. I can't post the link until I get some more posts up.
