Converting Photoshop files to Wordpress Theme

Hi
I am looking at doing some offline marketing to small business (setting up website & SEO). My wife is a graphic designer and very good at doing the design for websites in Photoshop, but doesn't know how to build websites themselves.
I know how to install and set up wordpress sites and know how good they are for SEO.
What I am looking for, if available, is some software that can convert the Photoshop files into a wordpress theme. I know this can be outsourced for a couple of hundred bucks, but was looking for a tool to do it ourselves.
Any advice would be appreciated, or recommended outsoucers if there is no such tool/software available.

Cheers
Joner

You've got to check out MediaLab :: SiteGrinder 3 (no affiliate link). I know the creators and have used the tool. It is incredibly accurate and is a huge time saver. Now I'm giving away trade secrets Hope you find it helpful.

There is no software as such....
The softwares or sites posted above are in beta phase and I would say useless at this stage...They may be good in future.

To convert psd to WP, convert them to html 1st.
There R lot of tutorials available...Just use Googly.
Or U can hire them in odesk and freelancer.

I am sure you must have thought for it for long term.

Don't depend on any softwares, they will bring more headache to you.

These are the 3 things you need to learn:

    1. Slicing a Photoshop file.
    2. Converting them to HTML, CSS.
    3. Convert the HTML to Wordpress.

I don't think such a software exist. schwarzes idea of slicing the file is a good alternative.

General consensus seems to be that doing the job manually will be better in the long run.
    Next question then!!
Can anyone recommend a good company or odesker/elancer who offers this service at a good rate?

    Cheers

Software can't really replace manual coding. There are so many essential things to be taken care of while doing psd to wordpress conversion. I would say don't reply on such tools, hire a theme developer.

Design Elemente is fine if you don't need anything particularly special in the design. It can't handle one-column layouts, which is a major pain in the ass. It has a demo, so perhaps download and play with it?

But the guys are right, there's really no substitute for hand-coding. Going rate for PSD to WP seems to be about $75-$100. If you know what you're doing with WP themes then there's no reason you can't learn to do it yourself. Best way to start is to hack someone else's theme to bits and try to recreate it yourself

I don't think you'll find what you are really looking for. Slicing up a design for an HTML and CSS layout is too complex for any software to build 100% accurately. I challenge anyone on here to contact me and tell me I'm wrong. If I am, I'll definitely use that same software in future. But, I doubt I'm wrong.
