Stand-alone .swf file - How can I export that?

I hope this is the correct forum for this. I have a file I have customized in flash and I am exporting it as a .swf file, but it only works when it is in the folder with all of the different components (text files, images, flash file...) How do I export it as a standalone file to work on its own. With the end result being to embed it into a web page.

Also, can I use a light-box effect to swf files? What would be the best pluggin for this?

Thank you all for your time, I know its a lot of questions...

What version of Flash are you using?

    In Flash GoTo >>

    File >> Publish Settings >>

    Check 'Windows Projector' (.exe).

and see if that will compile your images as well
(Cant remember if it does or not or if it's dependant on your versn. of flash)

... but give it a go.

Otherwise you might want to google a flash compiler.

as for the lightbox effect with the swf,

do you mean you want to open the lightbox
in a web browser from a static site or blog?

    whichever,

take a look at fancybox >>

and there's a WP Version too.

    Opps,...

    I just re-read your post.

Dont bother about the .exe method for compiling
your swf into a flash projector ...

If you're adding for the web you dont need to compile it,
just embed it into your web page and just make sure your
images / text / etc, are in the same folder as the swf.

    It'll work fine.

    p.s.

I thought I'd leave the .exe stuff in the post ...

as most people dont know about it

(and you have the potential to create and sell software created in flash
    for windows or mac).

Thank you for the advice. Would you mind looking at my webpage and see if you can tell what is not working?

I just have sample images in there. Test Cube New | JLeavitt Designs

When one of the images is clicked this is what should be opening in the box. And I need the click and drag functionality.

    Hmmm,...

    Try this;

    Open 'product.xml'

and to all the images : 'img/box/right.jpg'
    and the full URL i.e. : 'http://www.jleavittdesigns.com/wp-content/uploads/Cube/img/box/right.jpg'

Also make sure your loading your swf into your
lightbox with the FULL Url too ...

it seems the flash embed code is there
    but cant find the swf.

    But,

Without your swfs source file (.fla) I dont
know where your swf is drawing it's content from ...

so it's difficult to offer any further advice,

also you havent really explained what
'click and drag' functions your talking about ...

so I recommend hiring a programmer off sites
    like oDesk.com vWorker.com or eLance.com.

For a small fee, they'll fix your site and tell you
how they did it so you can learn too.

    all the best,

    - aj

I have posted a job on ODesk asking for help, I just feel like I am so close to getting this to work.

    So in detail:

If you go straight to the url of the swf file: http://www.jleavittdesigns.com/wp-co...s/Cube/box.swf You are able to see the cube and manipulate it, what I meant by click and drag is that you can turn the cube at different angles by clicking and dragging it.

I have the source files loaded into the same location: Index of /wp-content/uploads/Cube

The files I have in there are:
    box.swf
    img(folder)
    net(folder)
    org(folder)
    product.xml

I am using a pluggin on my wordpress site called Multibox that handles .swf files that can be seen here: Test Cube New | JLeavitt Designs but when the image is clicked the swf does not appear.

I was thinking that maybe if I could compile the swf file to stand alone (if that is even possible) it might work.

@ AJ, I did add the full URL as you suggested, but still did not work.

Any additional advice would be great.

    Thank you so much
