I'm trying to understand the IE developer tools.

I can view my site through either:
IE7 with IE 7 Document Mode
IE8 with IE 7 Document Mode
IE8 with IE8 Document Mode

I have written a specific css file for IE 7, and one for IE 8. The site looks great with both. However, if I were to view the site in IE 8, under IE 7 Document Mode (item 2 from the list above), the site goes back to crap-ola.

Should I even worry about this? Am I supposed to create a third file to clean up this situation? Thanks for the help...

As long as your css and html pages are correctly written and most browser versions are able to view your website don't worry to much about the ones that don't view it perfectly because what I find is most of the time there are things that you can't do across all browsers especially if you use the latest css3 coding.
