Image in post not showing up as clickable link? Any ideas?

I created a custom banner in paint.net and saved it as .jpg.

I uploaded the image in a Wordpress post.

I inserted the link (which is live, I tried it in a separate browser).

Updated the page.

Image shows in the post but it's not a clickable image.

I've done this hundreds of times before but now I'm stumped as to why I can't get this to work. I've recently added Pretty Link but with or without the PL I still can't get it to be a clickable image. Is this a temporary WP bug?

If you'd like to see what I mean go to http://www.topguitarriffs.com/image-test/ I also set up a test post just to see if it'd work with Headway Theme and it still doesn't (I wanted to make sure it wasn't an issue with Heatmap). The really odd thing is that I used this same image as a sidebar widget using the Image Widget and it works fine????????????

Then go to Klipsch iGroove SXT Review | Should you Buy The Klipsch iGroove SXT?

I used the same method for the first image here and it works? Beats me.

I'd really appreciate it if I could get some opinions because I'm baffled.

I thought it might be an issue with WP version 3.2.1 but it's not because I found one of my websites still running an older ver. but no dice.

You can check the source, there is no link specified.

This is crazy. I put the link in and triple checked it. There has to be a problem somewhere.

        Hi Shemp,

When you say you inserted the link, are you closing out of the image options box and then using the link button? Try hovering on the image and clicking the edit icon, then pasting your URL in that options box. Does that work?

Make sure you're setting the URL at the time you upload the image. You know where you add the alt text, etc?

I have done this and then I've clicked to edit the image and the link was in there as well (to make sure the link opens in a new window etc..). I have no clue what's going on. Like I've said, I've done this many times but I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe I have an issue with a plug-in or something.

At this point I would just do it manually. Switch to HTML view and add the html "a" tags for a link around your image. If nothing else this should do it.

Sorry, I tried to put an example code here but I don't have enough posts to put images or links even though they are in code tags.

When I switch to html view the code shows up properly. I wonder if it has anything to do with the SEOQuake plugin. I've been having problems with SEOQuake showing up in the posts any time I switch between views... then I have to manually delete the code for Quake. Maybe I should deactivate the plugin and try it again.

Anybody else having problems with the plug-in?
