I have installed wordpress in my domain name through fantastico.After downloading the theme i wanted,what should I do next??

    if you do it manually, after you download the theme,upload it via ftp to your wordpress theme directory, then you just login to your wordpress dashboard,activate theme and last add pages and content to your site..dont forget to install useful plugins.

    you can also upload it via wordpress itself. login to your wordpress dashboard and go to APPEARNCE > THEMES > ADD NEW and upload the theme from your PC in the ZIP format. Just follow the prompts.

      Do i need to create an account from wordpress to access to the dashboard?

    Login to cPanel -> File Manager -> public_html -> wp_contents -> wp_themes -> upload (a zip file).

    Once uploaded, you will need to extract Zip files. In this way, you are ready to use new Wordpress theme.

      I have extract the zip files into the wp_themes folder but I could not access to my.domainname.com/wp-admin.The page does not load.

        What is the error message you are getting? Page cannot be found? You would access your site from yourdomainname.com/wp-admin (you do not need an account at wordpress)

    You should now go to your domain and type /wp-admin after the .com, .net, .org, etc

    This should bring you to your wordpress log in page and when you log in, you can start to edit your site!
