Cartoon Logo Designer and Mascot Designer Website UK

I've recently given my cartoon logo designer, cartoon mascot designer and funny cartoon services website a complete revamp and mainly want to know if it's user friendly and it's clear enough what cartoon drawing services are on offer and how users can access them.

Your honest crititique is very much appreciated.

Please bear in mind this is a cartoon logo and cartoon illustration drawing service, so it's perhaps less corporate than other sites given the creative nature of the service. I like to keep a personal feel to it.

Thank you

It looks fine, it clearly expressed what your services are and the samples are great.

    hi,
i reviewed u site, and found it good... for starting..

as u i think u r new to web designing,
I would like to suggest some :

    > ur page is too lengthy, user has to scroll twice to reach at bottom (ideally it should be max single scroll).
    1. for above u can reduce ur footer size.
    2. footer data can be used on side bar menus to give more wide look, rather than lengthy look.

    > U can use some changes in font type to give more professional touch...

rest i felt ok with it...

    carry on with good work.

    thanks & regards.

looks great. But in order to look professional you should host your blog outside blogger.com. or remove top nav bar.

    Thank you Chaps

I agree I do have too much stuff in footer. I did have it as two column before but it messed up how the images were presented. I might just need to remove some content and perhaps add it to a page or something.

Really pleased you like the pics!

Here is my honest opinion but before I begin I would like you to know that I don't want to come across as harsh or unappreciative.

And honestly, your website is a little bit of a mess. First thing I noticed was that your using Blogger. Not exactly the best platform for a professional. The background picture was not really working and it is taking the spotlight away from your work.

If your going for something like a portfolio website your work should be front and center. You want your art to shine. I also found the website's color palette too depressing.

One more thing to improve upon is a clear call to action. A purpose for your website. If the purpose is to get the viewer to hire you then I suggest creating a clearer design towards that goal.

That's it for now. I do hope you take away something from this post and I wish you the best with your endeavors.

    Thank you!

I would like a site tailor made, but presently I need to be able to alter the content myself daily and make changes so it's either a case of build a site myself or pay a lot for one that does allow me to make the changes myself.

I've tried in the past various template websites and they always come up short in some area which is never clear until you start trying to create the site.

It's one of those things, once money is being spent it has to be right in every way.

Behance.com offer nice gallery style pro sites and I was thinking of using them...but again, they have some good points but not all good. I shall look at it again though.

      Decisions decisions!!

Have you looked at themeforest at all? They have amazing wordpress templates that are very customizable. Even as a graphic designer I used one of the templates from there as a base and customized it. Plus WordPress is the most user friendly CMS for a beginner to pick up and learn if you really wanted to. It's a great skill to have.

I did a search on Tf for you that might narrow down more to what you are looking for: portfolio - files - ThemeForest (No affiliate link, although I was tempted )

Let me know what you think

      Hello

I have changed my site (still a blogger one for now), different theme, colours, layout etc.

Meanwhile re the call for action, I don't want anything too salesy as it's a personal service I am offering, do you have any suggestions regarding how I can do this best?

I think Aljiro summed it up best for you while not sugarcoating anything. I would take his advice to heart.

Also your pricing seems very reasonable but what concerns me for you is giving away the free draft. A lot of clients are very stingy especially in this economy and you might find yourself doing a lot of work and revisions for free.

I'd suggest checking out Mascot design, Logo design and Web design - SOSFactory - He is one of the best in the industry for what he does and I think it's similar to your niche. If nothing else you can get expired from his site and his artworks.

    Good luck!

      His work is amazing

I am very blessed in having more than 2,500 cartoonist contacts in my network and am totally daunted by the awesome talent that's out there. If I spend too much time looking at their work, I'd give up right now

Hi, Thanks for doing that, much appreciated

Theya re all impressive and there is one particular one there I like. How easy are these to install?

I am familiar with wordpress.com, I have a site here Cartoons by Leah | Cartoonist blog, cartoonist services, cartoonist uk, illustrator uk, art services uk which was private pending overhaul but I've made it live so you can see it. I think what has stopped me using the paid themes is not knowing how to install them. I'm a bit of a technophobe.

It looks like your trying to get hosting as free as you can.........

Blogger probably will take your site down if they see it is being used commercially, unless you have some type of license to advertise commercially on the blogger site.

I may be wrong, but I think that commercial promotion of products is not allowed on blogger.

It does look much better than the previous one you had displaying your work.

I would still invest at least a little money into a proper domain name, unless you want the one you have already to represent you and your work for the long haul, and I would have a site designed for myself to showcase my work and present it the best way possible.

That's my honest advice.......... spend a few dollars and upgrade it off of blogger onto a more reputable platform/website..........

Hi, I have (before seeing your post) already transferred the content to my wordpress site which I paid to have a guided transfer to a wordpress.org site. I'm not sure how this works but as I understand it, that will then be a self hosted site and problem free.
The new domain name will be Cartoon Illustrator Services UK | Cartoon Logo Design by LeahG. Fingers crossed this transfer works ok!

Nicely done, the only thing you might want to do is to add a footer to the bottom of your page with a contact link and other such information as is usually found on most sites.

The order link was hard to find. I feel it should be a big cartoon button.
There isn't any meta description for the home page.

Site looks good. I'm not a fan of the red header... but that is just me.
The header took a minute to load. I would double check the file size and
see if you can reduce it.

Hi, I have switched the header for a blue one, and hopefully now the contact button is clear enough, I use this rather cute character here:

Re the metatags, for some reason they show up above the header of the blog posts when I activate them so I have had to deactivate them again.

Is the header image loading faster now?
