W3C Validation Errors

I've built a bunch of site, but when a check them for missing
close tags and smalls errors, they also have errors for what they
call "obsolete tables. Use CSS"

Do you concern yourself with this? If I'm editing in the WP editor,
I'm bound to have some kind of table in there. it won't be all CSS div's
and such.

Although, I see how css can be superior, but tables are so much easier
to work with and there's still html pages that use tables.

    You should be fine with tables (I still use the occasionally) - just run tests with multiple browsers to be sure they render properly.

    Who know in the future though as new versions of browsers may eliminate support for browsers, but I'm sure that's a long way off.

    I'm one of those who have been in the web design / website creation business for a long time (too long really), and I've got nothing against using tables.

    These days (well, since 2006 or so) it's super popular to hate tables with a passion and to only use span / div elements + CSS, however every now and then you're actually designing something that logically resembles a table. And you should absolutely use the table element when you're designing tables. That's why it's there.

    So, all in all, I think there's nothing wrong with using tables when doing so makes sense. I wouldn't be too concerned about various "obsolete tables" warnings - if it works well in all relevant browsers, that's all that matters.

    Folks who are in the SEO business ,

    W3C validation tool for HTML/CSS/XHTML files - do you make it a must and habit to validate all your web pages before or after publication ? How crucial is that ? While the tool points out error that we can correct, I am just wondering if that is good investment for the time spend editing it.
