Wordpress & Video- Inquiry

Hi Warriors,

Quick question......

I want to build out a website for my family that has several hours of home video on it....I would actually like to put a lot of video on it as we have a lot, maybe even like 150 hours or so.

Anyway, is there a way to upload this amount of video in WP?

Is there a plugin possibly?

Let me know your thoughts if you have any..........

    I have many thoughts... but will limit myself to the obvious only:
    - why do you need a plugin to upload ANYTHING in WordPress? Your WP doesn't have the upload feature?

    - If your site is only of videos... why do you need WordPress?

    - the real issue is not "uploading plugin"

    THE REAL ISSUES:
    - are those videos in proper format for web?
    - is your hosting package HUGE enough to handle that many hours of videos?
    - what kind of traffic you expect (how big is the "family")?

    I would suggest you upload them to YouTube, but mark each video as "unlisted" (so that other people don't watch your home movies!) then install the "Smart YouTube" plugin to get them on your page. In fact, the current Version of WordPress should be happy enough just with a YouTube URL and if things are configured correctly on your web host (most of them are by default) will display as a video.
