wordpress problems

hi there,

i just sold my wordpress heatmap theme website to some one else.

i gave him the site files, the database dumb, the domain, and the log in info for wordpress.

am i missing anything ??? the guy can't log in neither the website is showing up ..

i went in there too and i couldn't log in either.

what could be the problem ??

    Is the config pointing to the new database he made on the new place? Or it has never been edited?

    There is also the question how did the buyer install/import the DB...

    Are you getting a blank page ??

    Are you getting a database error ??

    What exactly is the problem. You are saying you cannot login and at the same time you are saying that the website does not open ? :-s How can you "try" to login if the website does not open..

      when he or i try to login , nothing happened and the login page recome up ... "the website wont open" i meant that its not showen when i put the url in the browser..

        To move the site your buyer needed to do the following;

        1 - Take the domain name and point it at the new host, in most cases this is done by setting the nameserver location on the domain registrar control panel.

        2- Upload all the files from your WordPress copy

        3 - Create a new MySQL database and MySQL database user, and assign the user sufficient permissions on the new database

        4- Import the data from the MySQL dump into the new database

        5 - Configure the wp-config.php file to reflect the new database name, user and user password.

        If this cryptic text is supposed to mean that NOTHING is displayed then check step #1! Otherwise I would expect you would see an error message, like "cannot establish database connection".
