Since xhtml/css is my thing...I am going to build out one of my clients homepages from photoshop all the way through the xhtml/css. I am going to video document the whole process. When I am done, does anyone here have an interest in seeing it? You will see me splicing the images, explaining WHY I am doing what I am doing, then hand coding the actual code, so you can see why I structure things the way I do, what CSS I implement, and you will watch me preview the work in the browsers. In total, I expect it to be a 1+ hour video total. I did a 17 min clip of splicing the images last night and it turned out to be 190mb...so that sucks, but its my first time using camtasia. UPDATE This is part 1 of 3. In total, it took me just under 2 hours total to build this page out, but that includes my commentary, explanations, etc... ==UPDATE #2=== The first 2 videos have been updated for better file size. Part 3 is on its way. Part 1 PSD to HTML - Part 1 Part 2 PSD to HTML - Part 2 Part 3 PSD to HTML - Part 3 I do apologize, some of the audio is off around the 20min + mark. My voice is probably 20 seconds ahead. I will try and fix that tonight if possible. thx |

I'd defiantly be interested in seeing it, I can create sites in PS and slice but I always struggle when structuring it in dreamweaver, so I'd love to see how its done properly instead of my hacks! let me know if you go ahead thanks andy |

Valdor - you don't use div tags? Really? is that a joke? 2009 is the year that IE6 dies. It is also the year that (finally) semantic, accessible, XTML/CSS based designs will become the norm. Anything we can do the push the cause it a good thing, absbica, produce your vid and get it out there! |

Yea, I was trying to start off being funny and loosen up the crowd with rediculous music! the first video is 17 min long and has no audio, but shows me splicing the graphics. I planned on doing an audio overlay to explain what I was doing. So yea, I will make it available..just need to talk over the video. I can send you the link via PM, it just has no audio |

Good video for beginners, I would remove the first minutes where you are playing random music.
