Hi everyone.

When designing a site do you prefere pixel width or percentage width.

Either way, why do you choose pixels or percentage? What are andvantages and dis advantages ?.
#% or #pixels #site #width

I rather have % because it will always looks well no matter what screen resolution you are using.

Some cells I do give them a fix pixel width

Percentage, or Fluid / Liquid Layout, is what I lean towards for it's accessibility. Like sandragaff said, this way it will look good no matter what screen resolution someone views it at. This is great for mobile optimization of sites. If the site width is set to 100%, it will always fill up 100% of the browser window no matter what device it is being viewed on.
I do use fixed widths sometimes. I like them because I have complete control over the size/look of them. This used to be the only way I would design my sites and for some situations it's easier to achieve a certain effect or style. The cons of using fixed widths are pretty obvious. A site set with a fixed width of 750px will look tiny on someone running a monitor with a high resolution. The same is true, but opposite for someone running a low resolution monitor. If the site is too wide the user will have to scroll both up-down AND left-right. I know how much I despise scrolling left to right.

I do the same thing, in my opinion that is the best way to go.
