Hello Warriors,
I have a few blogs and have no problems with them except one
I want the full post to show instead of just a summery and a nice menu at the side I put the menu in from a widget and the about me page disappeared well the post I put on it did and another post is in there instead .
I have tried different themes I searched through the dashboard to find the make full post
but can't find out how to make this blog do as I want.

I have google site map, seo plus, and AutoTubePress plug ins.

Any advise would be very much appreciated

Sandra

Did you to go to Settings > Reading and then click the Full Text option?

That is for what shows up in feeds.

I do know that some themes are set up to show only summaries.

If it's about FEEDS (and it is!)... why the heck are mixing it into this topic just to confuse everybody???

You can mess with that setting and it will NEVER change what is displayed on your blog. Period.

Try using the theme "Tweet Me Blue" and see if it displays the full text.

Let me know if it works for you.

No still not right it looks worse no menu showing up in side but a clutter above header

I feel I will just have to take every thin down and start over, I can't work out why this is playing up when my others are fine and all on same server.

Something definitely is amiss with the install.

Be sure to let us know how things go after you reinstall.

I am pretty sure your install is corrupt.
    Try re-installing.....hopefully you don't
have too much content....you can always migrate it.....but such a hassle!

Re-installing is the dumb people's solution to solve nothing.

If you messed with themes, editing widgets and stuff like that... then UNDO those and take a look at what is left.

Get back to a "virgin" default theme (2010 or 2011). Deactivate all the plugins.

And a reminder: in any theme there are certain items hand-coded into the (widget enabled) sidebar. That's what you see after install.
Whenever you drag even ONE widget into the sidebar - everything else (i.e. all the hand coded links, items) disappear. You will need to put all the widgets (Pages, Links, whatever) you'd like to see there.

Istvan is the person to listen to. Deactivating all your plugins and reverting to the default TwentyTen or TwentyEleven theme should always be the first thing you do when you see a problem - and reinstalling should always be the very last resort.

The 'summary' is called an Excerpt. The full content is called a Post. (Pages are a separate animal as well.)

When you have switched to the default theme and have absolutely no plugins active, do you see full posts or excerpts? Forget about the header and the sidebar widgets for now - they will possibly look all 'messed up' now. We just want to help you figure out the Excerpt/Post problem first. It's best to eliminate one problem at a time. Otherwise it just gets too confusing.

Quirpo Yes you are right the Easy theme was corrupt.

But it was fine until I took the advice of Istvan and trishacupra911 Now I know it is the Auto tube press plug in, and guess what if I click delete button it will delete everything I have put on there from day one also.

So I am going to have to go and delete every post this plug in has put on there manually
I am in for a long long night.

Thank you all for your help and advise and be warned if you try Auto Tube Press do it on a blank blog so you don't care if you have to hit that big delete button.

        Once again Thank you all
