Evaluate my Wireframe Design

Hello
I am a student that needs some help with a project. We are assigned to create a website at school, and part of this project is to consult stakeholders and the wider community about how my concept design fits the purpose outlined in my own design brief.

I have created a wireframe plan of the website. Now I need some feedback from the wider community. Here I have a survey that may take 8-10 mins to fill. Please take some time to judge the wireframe and add some useful response. The links to the concept design wireframe and the brief are at the top of the survey.

Final Concept Design: Evaluation

Thanks in advance.

The top fold needs something that tells your visitors what you're all about without having to search for it. I'm not too sure if the sliders you have there will do that, but from what I see so far, the "Welcome to Zealand Cards" is taking up the attention with out giving hints of what your site is about.

It may describe your site on the bottom of the welcome text, but chances are, no one going to read the small text to find out.

You generally have about 10 seconds to capture your visitors attention, if they don't know what you're site is about by then, they will simply move on to a different site.

I understand you don't have any images up yet, but i'm just judging from what I can see now.

Thanks for the reply. Please examine the wireframe/mockup.

Also, the design brief is not final. Part of the project is the ongoing refinement of the design brief by means of research, feedback from wider community + client, and (as a result) a deeper understanding of the student, of the environment in which the practice is undertaken.
