A squeeze page or an opt in page, is a web page that has a sign up box or sign up form on it where people enter their information, name and email address for a free item, ebook or report etc.

A landing page is a page that open as a result of clicking on an ad such as a pay per click ad in google. The landing page then sends the visitor to the main site after letting them see their sales pitch.

You nailed it. I guess, a landing page could also sends the visitor directly to your payment processor page.

Correct me if I am wrong.

    As mentioned above.
Both are the same, many people use them in their "own" way.

Your sqeeze page can be your landing page and vise verser, you can type into your surch engine asitename.com or click an add and you will land at a sqeeze page.

You can land at a sales page that further down asks you to sign up for something capturing your email making this a combined sales landing & squeeze page.

All the above are correct in one way or another, its up tp you how you market a product/site etc..etc... and what type of page you want your visitor LANDS at and how they get there.

To Blueaqua..... sarch this forum and you will quickly lean what these pages are, and search how to use them and gain a better understanding.

A squeeze page has to "squeeze" something from a visitor, in the most cases - an email address.

A landing page is any page that is specially designed for somehow-targeted visitors to be the first page of your site they "land in".

The most of landing pages are specially designed squeeze and salespages (salesletters). However, you may choose to let your visitors "land in" any of your posts or pages relative to the ad source they are coming from.

A squeeze page is a type of landing page. While landing pages are used to sell specific products, squeeze pages are used to build a specific list.

Wiki definition I do not like, I think of a squeeze page as a box to get sign ups.
A landing page is a sales page to me without the buy now button, that is what we used in the old days also called doorway pages.
A sales page is just that which you can witness thousands in the wso section.
So if I want to give away a report or something free which leads to sales I use a squeeze page.
If i'm doing affiliate marketing i use doorway or landing pages.
If I am selling something or direct selling something such as clickbank I use a sales page.

These are just how I perceive it and do it. Not what the true definitions are or anything.
