Vertical line after Title

The Google listing of my webpage in my signature has a straight vertical line after the title, like this: Wear a Bunion Splint l

I've noticed this on some of the other posts and pages on this particular website, but not all of them. I can't see anything in the edit mode that should cause this.

Several month ago I had changed the permalinks, but for a long time now they have been /%postname%/. This is the same as I have on my other websites.

I don't like this line, as it looks unprofessional, and would appreciate any ideas about why this is happening and what I can do about it.

Thanks.

One look at google's cache of your page "http://bunionsonfeet.org/wear-a-bunion-splint/" shows your title tag as:

    HTML Code:
     <title>Wear a Bunion Splint |</title>
That's what was there on October 20th which is the date of Google's most recent snapshot of the page.

Since then your title tag has changed to...

    HTML Code:
     <title> Wear a Bunion Splint » Bunions on Feet</title>
Give it some time and Google's presentation of your title in its search results will reflect that change.

Thank you so much, Mojojuju, for investigating this. Obviously, I had no idea as to how to check this out.

I'll not worry about it anymore.

I wouldn't worry too much about that line. In many WordPress themes it comes as a default now. And in some way it gives just one more footprint by which Google will see it as a wp blog site.

I like the theme of your site - its simple but effective. And you've done a good job on context linking and keyword attention grabbing.
