I asked a question about title tags and url and got some very good information but somehow everyone got sidetracked a little and I got a lot about title tags but little about urls. I know it is important to have good title tags and for it to match your content. What I wanted to know is should the wording of the url match or be very close to what you are using in the title tag. If my title tag is (make your own big dog toys) and not that I would use a title tag this log but just using it as an example but using that tag should my url be something like (example.com/makeyourownbigdogtoys/ so it is a perfect match to the title tag or is it fine to put example.com/dogtoys or example.com/bigdogtoys So you see my question is it a lot better to have an exact match or doesn't it mater as long as it is close and relevant. Thanks again

If I am mass producing content then I use the Title as the URL.

One thing though, it is better to use a "-" between words in the url.

    For example: example.com/make-your-own-big-dog-toys/

Ok but what is the purpose of putting the dash - in between the words does it make it stand out to the search engines. Mark

No, Google recommends using dashes. And btw, the Google bot is able to "split" up e.g. domain names like:

warriorforum.c*m into the keywords warrior and forum
