    register or die......... Realy...

For me the girl gets in the way, seems to to make your site look a bit childish, dos not go with the sites purpose.

    Just my opinion only.

This is just another wasted domain being used by a crappy forum script. Seriously people? When are you going to bare down and develop your own HTML or ASP websites?

    Hi,

No one is going to click on register or die. The serious buyers that you want to attract will not be amused, sorry.

The colors look great, however the layout doesn't really tell the visitor what to do next, there are too many options presented right away without explaining what the site is for. I wouldn't use this as the first page if it were my site. Try a cleaner homepage that states what the site is about, who it's for and then a link to get started.

Yes. I too accept. For professional buyers will be annoyed with those styles. But instead of that girl, you can have the registration form in that place. It will make it easy to register in ur site.

Really nice site, I like the look and colors. I agree with others. The girl don't fit the site.
As far as promotion, I would submit to search engines, write blogs, ezine and blogger. Add to directories and where ever you are aloud in the forums... Good luck with your site.

It should just say Register Please...then it's kind of ironic because she's got a gun.

    • (I'm redirected from the subsequent 11/10/11 post.)

The "Register or Die" illustration made me laugh. It's very well drawn too. I tend to not like pop-ups, but my first reaction was positive and the illustration is in a great spot, on the lower right of the window instead of the usual dead center. Even though it's not intrusive, is there a way to close it? Some might prefer that.

For the main "General Internet Marketing Forum" categories listed, the brief descriptions of each one are repetitive. I'd suggest deleting the "Here are . . ." introductions and just starting them either with an active verb like "Discuss . . ." or nouns with or without phrases like you have with "General discussion about Internet Marketing." Also, either all starting with capital letters or lowercase letters.

I didn't read all of the FAQ for the forums. It's great all on one page. Maybe add an extra space between questions, having double space above the boldfaced questions; more white space, visual room. This could make it easier to scan through and identify questions of interest; at the same time it would add a little inconvenience for more scrolling.

All the simple definitions for different parts of the forum FAQ: Excellent clarity.

In the "Successful Blog Marketing Tips" article thread I'd suggest deleting some unnecessary words or phrases, or replacing them. Even some sentences like in paragraph two: "When you first create a blog, of course it is unheard of." We're familiar with that from the first paragraph.

Also in the second paragraph, right after "Successful blog marketing tip number one" I'd suggest cutting out the following sentences until "The first thing you can do is to allow RSS feeds . . ." That's where the paragraph's main idea really begins. Bare essentials. If we've said something already, we probably don't need to say it again unless for reinforcement of the idea. Or as a refresher in the concluding paragraph.

It's sometimes tempting to write something longer because we might feel obligated that would make it more substantial, that something shorter would be insufficient. Sentences flowing into one another of course matters, but if you pack ideas in them densely enough also, that's even more satisfying and leverages interest for reading. It's like a ratio that can expand or contract.

The following questions I know nothing about.

How do you get traffic for visitors reading posts and members writing them--every day? What do popular forums do and don't do that ones not popular (yet) do and don't do? What do you observe about each? What are the essential differences? And then how do you identify the formula for what works? And then play with it, after you're familiar, and make your forum original with your philosophy, guiding vision, or mood, feel, or tone?

Your forum has functional categories, it's easy to find things, and again, I like it's clarity, especially for the FAQ. May your site thrive!

I have to say the register and die thing needs to go. The anime character made me think of an anime forum for tweens.

    I do like your logo.

Interesting. Overall looks good, but the blogscript is a little confusing. Hard to tell in the first few seconds where to go or what to do next. I like the girl, but not everyone is in to anime.
