Code it in HTML5 and only default to this version of the website if the user is visiting on an iPhone

Flash won't load on an iPhone...furthermore, don't use Flash to create websites. It's really bad practice and you'll lose credibility doing it! Use HTML5 and CSS3 with some jQuery.

I wouldn't create a website targeting a specific device. Make a website accessible and viewable on all devices.

iphone and flash = not good

There is kind of a "framework" for mobile devices. I would go that way.

That is what i thought that it was bad, but he insists he can do it then convert it using a program that will convert it into javascript. I think it is a bad idea especially as it is a coldfusion database driven news site.

    Thanks for you responses.

Nope forget it, You can't do that. You have to use a different CSS optimized for Iphone device that will load when you access your website from those devices. It's quite easy. But the best way, is not to use flash at all in you website.
