what kind of site is this..

A friend of mine what to build a similar site like : nalden.net

He contacted the original builder and he got a quote of 50 K for build the same site.

It look like a highly pimped up wordpress blog. But I am not sure.

Any idea how it build up this site ...

If I know how it is put together then he can outsource it.

So all info is welcome

    Its built on Adobe Flash. Looks like php database with flash front-end. So you need to hire someone who's proficient in Adobe Flash program.

    Not that I would advise you to do. You'll be better off with PHP site, something built on ecommerce shopping cart.

    Edit: it says this is a Free iPad app.

    The whole website is built in flash/flex. As search engines can crawl the static content in flash website, but cannot go through any dynamic content.

    I shall suggest you to not to make any exact replica, but try to develop website with same feature in open source i.e. PHP/MySQL.

    Yep, to me it looks like some portfolio of an arthis, website entirely created in flash and it just looks awesome, totally focussed on the central elements.

    I agree with Omy123. The design is annoying. as a web expert for 5years I can tell you that. Never I will charge for my clients such website for 50k. Ok it's a Flash website first and i'm totally against that technology for building a whole website. It's slow for loading and not well optimized for SEO.
