What do I do with the info from the 'squeeze page'?

Hi,

Not sure if this is the correct section to be posting under but here is my question.

Picture the scene. I have a squeeze page which has an ethical bribe of a video, the potential customer fills in their email address and first name and hits the 'submit button'.

3 things should now happen.

1) the potential customer is directed to the sales letter page - all good here I know how to do this.

2) the potential customer gets an email with a link to the page that has their free video as promised in the squeeze page - how does this email get sent to the person automatically at this stage?

3) I now have the first name and email address of someone who is interested enough to give them to me - what do I do with this information (physically I mean) I know I can get it emailed to me, but is that the best thing - I somehow think I need to get it into a database to then query to be able to market to them as my list - what database should I use? if not a database then what should I do with the info.

    im new to online marketing (offline marketing is where i started) but what i do is send a simple email with something like, "How to easily make $50 a day" and include your affiliate/cpa link. they opted in already so they want to more info on how to make $$$

    Hey JR,

    you're thinking too complicated - don't try to do this yourself.

    There's a plethora of Autoresponder Services (aWeber being the biggest one..) that ALL do what you want:

    a) you just define the "redirec after signup" page
    b) first email in your autoresponder series is a mail with that link
    c) user is in the DB automatically, in a "list" as it is called that you can always
    mail to. You segment people into "lists" (at least with easier ARs like aWeber).
