Default Stupid Opt-in Page Question

Hi everyone.

Can you help an idiot out?

I am using KompoZer for the Mac (basically its the nvu html editor). I have a template for an opt-in page and I am trying to add the html from getresponse to it, but all I see is a bunch of code. It doesn't look like the neat little opt-in box that it should be, just a bunch of code. Will it look nice when I ftp to my website?

What is this idiot doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

I am not familiar with getresponse, but have you checked the following things?

- Are you editing in html mode in your editor, and not pasting the code as 'text' onto the template
- Are you sure the code from getresponse is html? It could aswel be php or another server-side language and than it won't look properly until you upload it to a server

Hope this helps

Hi EndGame

Are you saying that you are adding HTML from a GetResponse form but the form isn't showing? Is it possible that somewhere on your page you have an unclosed HTML tag?

Sorry if I'm barking up the wrong tree! Is it possible to supply an example of the code you're having problems with?

Bill

I agree, you need to post the HTML or a link to the page so we can have a look at it.

Many of us are web designers, so we can help you out if you let us have a look at what is going on.

Glad to see that you solved the problem but do me a favor and check your attitude. I hate when people refer to themselves as idiots and stupid. Putting yourself down gets you nowhere.

Will it affect you greatly if I don't check my attitude Eric?

I am more admitting my short comings than anything else. And I haven't solved the problem. After work when i ftp it, I hope some of the clever chaps here will check the source code for me.

We'll see.

Not at all

I wasn't trying to come off rude at all, just wishing people would think a bit more highly of themselves...
