Flexsqueeze, Metatags and site speed.

Hi, I'm very new at website design but I just started using Flexsqueeze, I really love the interface. Can anyone tell me how you would add meta tags? And are meta tags still really important? I see that some people say that google doesn't use them anymore but Bing does.

I am also using Easy WP SEO and I think it is a great product. It says that to add meta tags you need All in one SEO. I have heard that All in one SEO may slow your site down, negatively affecting google's opinion of your site. Is this true?

What is a good site speed and a good program to get an accurate site speed reading?

Thanks for any help.
Julie

I've been using All In One SEO for years and it has helped me build sites getting several thousand visitors a day, and I've never experienced any performance issues with it.

I would also say to keep on using meta tags, added via All In One SEO, despite the rumors floating around that they aren't needed.

I base my opinion regarding that on testing and experience, and I have without a doubt found that when meta tags are properly used my rankings improve.

To check your site speed, try this: https://developers.google.com/pagespeed/

You'll need to install and configure a caching plugin to do well on the above test, such as Quick Cache or WP Super Cache.
