ERROR cannot decode JSON object?

I'm trying to upload a large .flv video but half an hour after the upload initiates I'm hit with the 'cannot decode JSON object error'. The thing is the file has been uploaded successfully before (not by myself) but now needs re-uploading for various reasons. Any help combatting the error or at least someone telling me what it actually means would be greatly appreciated and 'thanked' as I really don't want to have to embed youtube videos if at all possible.

      Sorry yeh Trying to upload it to a site of mine built with a specific membership software which acts as a kind of 'middle man' to update and republish the site. I think I have it sorted now anyway I just bypassed the software and uploaded via FTP and all seems to be well, perhaps the software simply couldn't 'handle' the size of the file? Thanks for the rely anyway.
