Need WP Plugin help (Caffeinated Content)

Hi everyone,

I feel really stupid asking this as I have installed plugins before.

I have the latest wordpress blog installed via my host (host gator).

I am trying to upload caffeinated content plugin to one of my blogs.

I have tried 3 different ways to upload this plugin.

I tried using WP uploader plugin. It says "file uploaded successfully"- I go to plugins- the caffeinated content plugin is not in there.

So I go to my hostgator control panel. File manager says the file "caffeinated content" is there. Again no caffeinated content plugin in the WP dashboard.

I tried FTP- plugin uploaded successfully to the plugins directory- but-still no caffeinated content plugin in the WP dashboard under plugins.

I tried adding the file under add new plugin via WP dashboard. File uploaded successfully but it does not appear in the plugins.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be forever grateful!

Not sure if my computer operating system has anything to do with it-but I am running Vista.

Also this is the newest Caffeinated Content plugin (3.7).

It's working OK for me across numerous blogs. Don't know what to suggest - sorry!

Email the guys at Kansieo - I had a question at the beginning and they got back to me within a day or so.

BTW I use Filezilla.

Well,

I had to use another plugin to install the CC plugin. I used One Click Plug In Installer.It uploaded the CC plugin and activated it. I got as far as inserting my key and go to management-I get a blank page.Any one have any ideas?

BTW-I did email support first. Just frustrated-I'm trying to get 17 blogs going.

Sounds like you might have it installed behind another folder. All files should be inside one folder and one folder only. Open up your plugin folder and look. When you click open CC folder, all files should show, not another folder with the files.

Hi Cliffmaster,

I double checked and there were no extra files.I went as far as completely taking CC off the blog and all files associated with CC. I re-downloaded CC and re-uploaded. I was able to insert the key. When I go to posts and click on CC -I get a blank page.Still don't know whats going on.

Wish I could help you more Deanna, but I'm stumped. So I take it you can activate the plugin from within the plugins page ? If you can, then what I said earlier does not apply.

What WP version are you running ? Also, for the heck of it, disable all plugins and just activate CC to see if the posting page shows. There could be a plugin conflict.

Hi Cliffmaster,
I am using 2.7 Wordpress version. I also tried installing on 2.5-no luck with either.

I did deactivate all plugins-no luck.

I'm stumped too!

Maybe try it on a blog with a different host?

Not sure what happened but I just checked the plugin and now its working.
