WP-Subscribers and OptimizePress ( Alter Theme Functions php - how?)

Hi I have the wp subscribers plugin which seems pretty kickass... on their site it says it can be incorporated with optimizepress theme. here are their instructions:

Step 3: Find these lines of code in the function.php file:

Ok so the thing is, i cant seem to find that line in the php file,
