      You wait!

If there is ever a dispute with any of your websites, Go Daddy will shut them ALL down until the dispute is resolved.

They are spineless, unhelpful pussies in the business.

Haven't used them as a host but have bought one domain with them. That was enough to put me off completely.

I use Bluehost and never had an issue so far, and a lot of people use hostgator but never used them either but would be my second choice from what othes say.

I only use it to secure domain names. Any site I've tried to host there - monumental fail.

I primarily install Joomla sites to my host - downtownhost.com - and have had mainly good things happen. And when something bad happens, they have it fixed for me very quickly. I've used them for about 5 years now and wouldn't consider using anyone else.

      Just my own experience.

I am using Godaddy hosting for one of my site which was build in asp.net

It was working fine, but than I need to host one more site which was build in Joomla. Godaddy can host joomla sites on its hosting, but when I hosted my site, it got some problems, like when I open home page, that works fine. But when I go to another page, its template and CSS got many problems, and all Divs, and Tables mess up with each other, although same site was running fine on local server.

Than I move my joomla site to other hosting and that works fine there. I don't know what was the problem, but it was on the Godaddy side.

Godaddy is a very shady company. They have a reputation of treating people like garbage

People who on here who say "Ihave no problems with Godaddy" have obviously never had a dispute or problem with them that they had to resolve.

Godaddy will steal your domain from you in a hearbeat and auction it off if you happen to forget to renew it, or they will ask you for 200 dollars to get the domain back. I would not trust them for ANYTHING including buying domains from

Who is a good host? CYBERWURX

Do a bit of research on Cyberwurx. I have been with them for 6 yrs, I pay 6 dollars per month for a basic hosting plan. Customer service to me is the most important thing. I can email Cyberwurx with a problem or request even at 3 in the morning. They ALWAYS get back to me within 5 minutes. You will never find better customer service or attitude from a company than you will at cyberwurx.

Go to Google and Google Godaddy horror stories. Watch all the stories that come up from unhapy customers.

Beware The Dangers of GoDaddy! | Jason Cain - Making Money Online Since 1999

Try to find complaints about Cyberwurx. You wont find them
I have been on Many webmaster boards. Never have I seen a company with so many positive Reviews as Cyberwurx

There was a guy who osted that he had his domain on auto renew auto bill on Godaddy
for some reason the auto pay didnt go through
he said godaddy took his domain and auctioned it
he called "customer service" about 100 times, this was of no help and he felt they were rude and arrogant, and non responsive

finally he had enough and he told them on the phone that he was going to fly there in person and get it resolved

godaddy didnt like that at all
you know what happened? godaddy called the police on him and had him arrested for "threats"

    Nice Company that Godaddy
I would not even ever buy a domain from them much less host with them

I agree completely, try to avoid purchasing your hosting and domains from the same supplier (you retain more control by keeping them separate).

Having tried most of the big guys throughout the years, I've settled for HostGator.com (excellent hosting and support) and NameCheap.com as my main registrar.

I have registered quite a few domains through GoDaddy.com without problem (I just find their interface way more complicated than it needs to be and all the cross-sells drive me nuts!). Personally, I've never hosted with GoDaddy.com as I've read WAY too many horror stories.

Try HG and NC, I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

      All the best,
      Chris

Godaddy actually has decent support/customer service BUT they are salespeople who just constantly upsell you without knowing jack about Hosting or your account.

GoDaddy is NOT a good host, anyone with experience with multiple hosts can tell you that. They dont even use cpanel.

I've been working in freelance site dev for years now, I cant think of any major host that I or a client doesnt have accounts with.

GoDaddy wouldnt make my top 25 of Hosts to deal with and their cheap prices can be matched dozens of times over.

I still pick up those $5.99 .com's all day though! ... and transfer them out

Wow! You would think they would support a customer a little better that has that many sites, especially if you're paying for the individually or have a large plan.

Purchase your domains at "Namecheap" and point your name servers to "HostGator" You get free privacy on your domain name at Namecheap and cpanel at HostGator. HostGator is only around 4 bucks a month for 1 site and around 8 bucks a month for the Baby plan which will host as many site as you need.. I've been at HostGator for about 5 years without a single problem.
