I am creating my first website for a business (hair salon), and I finally found a theme that I like. But I am having a major issue that I can't seem to figure out. The theme is Techozoic and the problem is that the content on the pages is showing up twice. It looks like there is a page and a post of the exact same content on every page. When I go to edit the page, everything looks fine. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you post a link to your site, we can have a look.

You may want to try posting a link to the site.
You might get more of a response if folks can see it.

It seems to be a theme with a lot of options and settings... and lots of complaints in the WP support forums about breaking different blogs.

To make sure it's the theme - you should switch to the default (2011) theme and see if your content displays properly. If yes, then you will have to ask for help with this theme in the WP support forums: the author of it is a mod there.

Istvan Horvath- It does have a lot of options. I thought that was a good thing since I do not really know anything about code. I had been considering using the Weaver theme. I went ahead and activated it, and the problem is still there. Does this mean that it does not have anything to do with the theme?

Here is the link to the site (I have not done anything to it yet, because I have been trying to fix this problem). Salon Chic & Boutique – Huntsville Tx. Hair Salons

One more question...on my blog there is an option underneath each post/page to allow comments or not. I am not seeing this on the site I am creating. How do I get this option or where do I find it? This is going to be a static type site, so there will be no need for comments on most of the pages. Thanks.

Are you using a "make sticky" plugin? That may be why the content is showing up like that - try and disable it.

You can turn off comments on a post-by-post/page-by-page basis, or go to SETTINGS > DISCUSSION > and uncheck "Allow people to post comments on new articles". Even if you do the latter, you can still override that for individual pages/posts. (When logged in as admin, you may not see the comments boxes under articles in the front-end)

Thanks!!!!! You are a life-saver . I did not have any posts marked as sticky, but I did have a plug-in enabled. Thanks again! Also, would you mind explaining how to turn them off on a page by page basis? My blogs theme is just an option right underneath the post, but I don't see that on either of the themes I am considering using.

That's how - the option underneath each post (in the backend), not the front-end. In other words, when you write/edit a post, there should be be a "little box" like this:

If you do not see that - click on "Screen Options" at the top, and check "Discussion".

Good luck, and glad to help!
