I hope I'm asking in the right section of the forum. I'm having issues in Google Analytics with crawl errors.

I recently changed my platform from Joomla and coverted my theme on Wordpress. Now I've got literally 70+ pages of crawl errors.

For example:

/component/content/section/8

Previously in my robots.txt file I had all bots blocked from such pages, I don't understand why this would be coming up?!!?!?

Any Ideas on how to resolve this?

Thanks in advance Mike..

I think the basic reason could be the platform that you switched to. You should delete your earlier robot.txt fil and make a new one.I hope this could help you out.

Did you make sure that your permalin structure has been migrated correctly from your old installation?

The structure you mention is unusal for a WP blog, this might cause errors.

@ Venus - thanks, I'll look into that..

@ Rob - the permalink structure remained the same. However, joomla has a different way of handling pages/posts than wordpress. The same would happen in reverse I believe if I switched from wordpress to Joomla..

I might see if I can do a redirect of all /componets/content/ to the root domain.
