Free online charting + an evil hack

I just discovered Gliffy Online Diagram Software out of desperation, when I needed to do an illustration and Adobe's licensing scheme illegitimately decided my copy of Illustrator was illegitimate. The free version of Gliffy marks the picture at the bottom. But if you export as an .SVG file and use the worthy and free Inkscape. Draw Freely to edit it, voila--no ad banner!

    Hello tomcam,
Thanks for those links. I was using Dia freeware for flowcharts after no longer having access to Visio at work. I'll check these out. Kudos!

    Hi,

Have you checked out OpenOffice? it's a full Office suite distributed though openoffice.org. It provides a wordprocessor, spreadsheet, database plus a visio and powerpoint like tool as well. Best of all it's free.

@coolhobo: I know OpenOffice well. The advantage to Gliffy is that it lives on a server, not on your own machine (meaning no installation required, just use a modern browser), and I work on lots of different computers. Also Gliffy has a nice library of clipart that happened to suit my purposes well. Of course it's always good to remind people about OO.
