What are some of your tactics to increase conversion rate on your landing pages?

I've been working with wordpress now for a week or two and have a decent site setup. I would like to hear tips.

      That advice is as wrong as it could be.

      Plugins by themselves will NOT, repeat: will not do anything for your "wordpress conversion". BTW, there is no such thing as "wordpress conversion", just for the record.

      If you are crying about the conversion rate of your squeeze/optin page - that has nothing to do whether it was done with WP or Joomla or handcoded HTML or whatever...

      It's about your offer, your targeted traffic and your squeeze page's copy.

    Without seeing your landing page, it's like throwing darts in the dark. I would first look into your site copy before jumping on wordpress plugins.
