Best free theme

Hi gays,Im a newbie so im wondiring what is the best free theme for a website,It is a big website with a lot of information,
with a article a day or so.

So i really like your opinion

    You won't like it but here it goes, this is from me, Really depends on the niche. If technology or entertainment then a theme with Pizazz, Affiliate site, articles reviews ect. Then a bland theme.


    Reason, people expect a WOW when they go to certain sites.
    and on the other site.
    Certain sites need to be bland as not to take away from the information on the website.

    One important note, do consider vistors with dail up connection. Dont use theme with heavy graphics. Choose useability first.

    I know a lot of people (including me) consider Atahualpa the most customizable free theme out there.

    You can do a lot with it but it takes a little tinkering and testing. One of the Warriors has an ebook on how to change things. If you search the forum you will probably find it. There is also a pretty active and helpful forum for Atahualpa theme users at their site.

    FlexxSqueeze is good and their Flexibility Theme is a premium theme but that's really good for IM, the guy that owns them also has a really cool and easy to use Header creator that is free for premium customers. Cheers. Stan Fields.

    If you are into Wordpress, I suggest that you should try Graphene Themes. The design of this theme is beautiful and the features are wonderful. Not only that, Graphene Theme is also for free, so it would certainly be nice if you will give it a try.

    For purposes of SEO, it's important to have text physically higher (pixel-wise) in the page. You might want to optimize on themes that have a small header, and as the site gains SERPs, start adding logos, etc.
