Need Help With BackupBuddy

I installed BackupBuddy on one of my WP blogs this morning because it's involved a huge amount of work and I'd hate to lose anything.

But, when I attempt to run a backup, I get the following error message:

Backing up with BackupBuddy v2.2.33...
20:5:46: Database only backup mode.
20:5:46: Running in modern backup mode based on settings.
20:5:48: Starting database backup process.
20:5:48: Saving database content to file. (15 tables)
20:5:48: Including non-WordPress tables in backup (if found; based on settings).
20:5:49: ERROR #9026: The mySQL server went away unexpectedly during database dump. This is almost always caused by mySQL running out of memory. The backup integrity can no longer be guaranteed so the backup has been halted. Last table dumped before database server went away: `wp_cbnetpo_ping_optimizer`.
20:5:49: Failed function backup_create_database_dump. Backup terminated.
A fatal error has been encountered. The backup has halted.

It appears I need to increase mySQL memory. I've Googled this, but can't seem to find a clear enough explanation as to how to do this. Can anyone explain what I need to do?

I backed up some of my sites in the past with that plugin but never got that error,it's always worked fine for me,I found this site that lists all the error codes,it seems you have to increase the memory in your database.

Yes, this is what I said at the end of the OP - the error says the mySQL is running out of memory. I was asking how I can do this.

I've examined the database though cPanel and can't see any way to do this..

As far as I know you can't change the settings yourself, you will have to contact your hosting service and ask them to increase the mySQL memory.
I also remember a while back watching a training video from the site creators about using the plugin, they mentioned in the video that the plugin will not work as well with all hosting companies,I think they mentioned it works well with HostGator,I also tried it on JustHost and it works fine there.
