Hey guys, I built this site and I've had a couple people tell me I should change the color scheme to make it easier on the eyes etc. I don't feel like it is hard on the eyes though, I like the colors. Most the people that told me this were family members who are over 40 though. So idk if it is the age difference or if I should change the colors?

Hey man! Really cool website! I used to play a similar game when I was younger called Tibia. It was also a really addictive game. I gave it up after high school but I like what you are doing here. Looks like a really good fansite! Good job man!

Nice website. I would suggest adding a different hover color to buttons.

For your niche, your color scheme is fine (even though I'm perhaps older than your average target audience member ).

But, for me, a bigger problem is that giant 1.5MB background image you're using - it takes ages to load. I suggest optimizing and reducing it to a more civilized size.

I concur. Other than it loading a bit slowly the color scheme is fine for the subject matter.

Check gothamcityimpostors.com for some inspiration. It uses dark color in very nice way.

Most of the big websites are primarily white with black type. Think FB, Google, etc. WF is mostly gray with some red and black. Just food for thought. People prefer easy to read.

There shouldn't be any loading problems. You may have been on at a time I was transferring some data.

I think its totally great. Don't change it if you don't want to.

    Maybe this will help:
In my previous career in advertising I had lots of various clients come through the agencies I worked for.

What I learned is that every design need sort of has a "flavor".

Like you don't use a cosmetics "flavor" for a car commercial.
You have to design to the appropriate flavor. And your's does just that!

It's a video game! You have it right.

Nice rich aqua green. Nice, very nice!

    The color is great.
It would be awesome if you add more bright colors such as shining gold in your navigations ( maybe change the icon that looks more bright and shine ). Don't go too far, just add more bright elements.
See gothamcityimpostors.com just like xtrapunch said above. It's a dark theme, but there are more bright elements. And it makes the website more alive ( title colors, background picture, tapes, papers, etc ).
