Two Blogs on One WP Site?

Okay, so I have my PLR site, PLR Content Market | Quality PLR Articles and I'm trying to add a blog to it. I know I can just install WP in another directory and have my blog at http://plrcontentmarket.com/blog, but I would really like the link to be up in that top bar along with the link to my PLR packs and such. Is there a way to do that?

Amanda, if I understood correctly you want to add a blog to your current site, and you want to add the link to the main navigation bar? - perhaps next to the writing and rewriting services option ?

If that is what in fact you are looking to to, is quite simple, all you have to do is install your blog as you mention in your post - and add a new link in the navigation bar in your current site and point it to that folder where your new blog will reside.

    Hope this helps -

by the way - in order to do so, you need to have access to the site itself and create the link either directly in the code of the site -or- if it is another blog or any other cms add it , as you added the other links, if you need further help send me a pm -

Hmm... how do I add new links to the top navigation bar? So far it has just been automatically adding pages I make to the bar.

I noticed that you currently have a wordpress site and i guess my question to this point should be - you are opening the other blog to complement your services or is it a whole different use for the blog?

Well, the blog on the site is set up for me to post all of my packs up. I would like to have a second blog set up for me to do actual blogging but still link to it from the navigation bar.

Amanda, you can add a new page to your existing site and call it "blog", and being a page, it should show up on the navigation bar. There's a plugin called "page links to" that you can use to link that page to your newly installed blog. Then, when the blog link is clicked on in the navigation bar, it will take you to your new blog.

Okay, so the plugin would make the page redirect to the page with my blog?

Normally, if you have a decent theme; i.e. a theme that is using the custom menu feature introduced in WP 3.0) - you can really create a... well, CUSTOM menu where one of the items should be a link to your new blog.

No need for plugins and other hocus pocus...

As for the question in the title: you can have as many blogs on the same domain as many subfolders you can create (and your hosting package permits).

I recently launched a new site: Smart Web Worker - WordPress tutorials, WordPress themes & web design resources

If you see, it has a separate section for WordPress themes (for you it would have been PLR content) and the rest of the site is there. You could have used something similar to show PLR packages on home page and have the blog on the same website.

In your existing arrangement, you should use the navigation menu more creatively to make i easy for your visitors.. Instead of "Go Back..." link give links to pages/content on your main site.

If you are such a WP expert as you would like people to believe it... maybe you should take care that the copyright of your content posted on your site is attributed to you and not the theme creators
