I'm sure I have seen a plugin that converts a normal html page into the format used by wordpress but I don't know the name of it. Can anyone help?

I am wanting to add existing html salespages into a new blog I am setting up but the html code is all over.

Any help would be appreciated guys

Thanks
Keith

There are some themes that support .html page templates and all you need to do is copy and paste your html right into the new page insertion window.

Also, for sales pages, I have found that if you know what to cut and paste, you can easily transfer the html page into the WP page.

In fact, I do a lot of my salespages in an html editor before transferring into WP. So there shouldn't be too much coding to worry about. You need familiarity with html and WP. Some CSS you can leave right in and you need to pay a lot of attention to the <div>s! These guys will tear your WP blog apart and frustrate you for hours! Make sure you close the divs - </div> or you'll loose sidebars, widgets and what not!

Plus there are a few HTML to Wordpress plugins. Look for one that allows you to directly input html code into the page. Often, using the above precautions you should be ok.

Cheers for all the help guys, it's really appreciated.

I did find a plugin on the WSO (eventually) at:

          warrior-special-offers-forum/440409-turns-static-html-pages-into-widget-ready-wordpress-search-engine-optimization-powerhouses

This one is easy to use except it does not allow shortcodes for coupons etc..still tho it is very easy to use.
