Which wordpress template to use?

Hi, I'm looking to create a website to market my mobile marketing business for offline clients...what wordpress themes/ templete do u recommend..

I've looked over at themeforest...there are just too many choices..!!!

Can anyone give some good themes u may have come across to produce sites of such nature...promoting web services

I'm can spend up to $50 for the template...i'm not looking for theme frameworks, but looking for child themes/templates as I want to cook up the site fast and do not want to do from scratch.

    If you want to pay for a theme, I would look at Organic Themes, Elegant Themes, and ThemeForest.

    If you know a bit of HTML/CSS check out Thesis...a lot of Warriors love it.

    I use Arras as a great free theme and several other themes for specific purposes (Amazon marketing, AdSense, etc.).

      Another great theme to look into is Catalyst Theme. It's similar to Thesis except their pricing is better IMO, and it's extremely versatile.

        I've heard a lot of great things about Catalyst...wonder why Thesis seems to be so much more popular. Does Catalyst have a good support community?

      Do you need to know html/CSS to use thesis?

      I thought you didn't now I'm wondering after your post. Can you please elaborate?

      WooThemes is also pretty good stuff. Just as an FYI - I know you said you don't want a framework, but Thesis, Catalyst and the likes also offer child themes for them. With the added power of the frameworks behind them. But, if that's not what you want, then I also say WooThemes, Elegant Themes, and, go over to smashing magazine as they typically have a lot of nice stuff that they list for free.

      I'm using Woothemes' Delegate for my offline business.

      The only thing I didn't like was that the main content is less visible than the sidebar. Changed that by making the background for main content white, too.

      Added the most important services to the home page slider, and as pages to the main menu.

        I'm a big fan of the free Weaver theme, which is crazy versatile and pretty good from an seo point of view.

        But I never see anyone mention it here, so maybe I'm doing something wrong.

        Still I love it for local clients because it has so many variables...
