The site looks clean but you've a couple of spelling mistakes in the first paragraph e.g "If you don't no"

I might have thought about creating a site specifically based around VB... "Source Code Direct" sounds a bit too general for my liking.

I know nothing about source code really but I'm sure there's a germ of an idea there. If you could get people posting bits of code for others to download then there must be potential for you to make money on advertising revenue.

Is this something that coders actively look for? Are you solving a problem? Or is there a big website where people go to get code?

Try and focus on the one thing you can offer that nobody else in the world can! Solve a problem, fill a gap, and then there's potential with your website.

First, good job! I know it's not easy to build a website. And I know it's not easy to put yourself out there and ask for comments.

      Here are my suggestions:

      1. Remove the ads for now. Maybe some day in the future if you have a lot of traffic you can put them back. If you don't want to remove them completely, then make them smaller/fewer. Right now it feels like 50% of the page is an ad.

      2. It took me a few minutes to figure out what the site does. It should be clearer to programmers how the site helps them and what it does.

Yes I agree with Steve. When I got to your site, I was trying hard to figure out what is it all about. And I almost mistaken the person in the ads to be you. But concluded it is not as the ad does not complement your site.

However, I believe just a bit of adjustment required. Perhaps shorten your paragraph or adjust the formatting (eg. 2-3 lines/paragraph and 10 words/line).

Your banner ads are fine, affiliate sites are designed specifically to drive traffic and convert that traffic with you offer, removing them will only result in leaving money on the table. I like the colours and my only suggestion would be to make the text larger.

Congrats on your site dear...For a start the site is fine.... Start with its SEO and IM.... after you start getting traffic and you think that its fine to invest on the design and stuff (Both Money and Time)...

Do not want to discourage you but if you expect an honest review... You need a lot to improve.... Major changes would be removing ads for now, a better logo, more stuff and information, imprving sites load time, SEO, better color scheme, font s and font size etc.... a long list BUT the good part is that you have launched it and can start its marketing right away... I have noticed that you have not provided meta title, description and other basic SEO stuff in the back-end code... Do that at least and put some more stuff, something for search engines to feed on i mean....

    Best of Luck Dear....

    Firstly, some nice stuff...

site looks good, its fresh and although can do with some tweaks here and there youre on the right track
as a .net developer myself of many years its nice to find a site thats sharing code, its not a secret that the .net community is quite a closed community in regards to sharing code "easily" so theres definitely potential for growth here

however, although not 100% certain theres a couple tell tale signs this site hasnt been built using the .net framework, and if thats the target audience you are aiming at you'll do yourself justice in the long run if your seriously considered building it using asp.
also you may want to consider displaying the code itself in a <pre> tag to maintain the format of the code, which will help make it easier to read and copy from as well.
one other thing to keep in mind is how you are going to test the code before its allowed to be posted, having a site like this with a bunch of code that doesnt work will eventually kill the site as people will just give up and try somewhere else.

i'll leave it at that for now, good luck and all the best

Very clean looking site, I did have a problem searching for code. I typed in basic, java, C+, C and hello and no results were found. I personally do not like a site that has the term "coming soon" featured on them. Other than that it looks nice =)
