If i run a health review site would it be better for me to buy a domain like
healthreview.com and have all my products listed ina sub domain like:

stretchmark.healthreview.com
acne.healthreview.com

-or-

healthreview.com/stetchmarks
healthreview.com/acne

is one better over the other when it comes to rankings and seo?

    Usually, search engines regard the subdomains as separate sites while the subfolders are always part of the site at the root.

    Having the basic knowledge now you can make your own decision.

    I hate to post double opinions, but Istvan is right. I know from personal experience of being ranked on the first page(google/yahoo) that what he said is correct. Good luck with your sites!
