I want to build a WordPress based website

Hello, I a thinking about re-doing my current website that isnt using WordPress. I want to start using WordPress.. I am wondering if I can build the website in http://absolutelogo.com/wp and then when it is done transfer it over the the main root so it is visible at absolutelogo.com is that possible to do? If so how would I go about doing it. Thanks!

    After you build it and have deleted the old site, you can, either:
    1. Leave WP in the subdirectory, copy the WordPress index.php file to the site root, and redirect to the subdirectory - see here: Giving WordPress Its Own Directory « WordPress Codex
      or
    2. Move all the WP files to the main site root, and change all references to http://absolutelogo.com/wp to http://absolutelogo.com in the database.
    Afterwards, also don't forget to redirect your old site files to their new WP counterparts via .htaccess or a plugin.
