Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can disguise my download links on my site so no one can see them when they lok at the source with their browser. I have checked back through the threads posted but can't find anything that applies.

If the link is in the source code then it can be seen with view-source. You could try replacing the links with calls to JavaScript functions that simulate the links. The JavaScript could be in an external file.

Not exactly the solution you're looking for but it may suffice.

I am not sure why you are doing what you are doing. If the page has a link on it to your download, why would it be important to hide the link in the source code if someone looks at it...

If they can access the link from the page all they have to do is move the mouse over the link to see the address in the status bar to see the location anyway....

If you really want to hide your link I have the Download Page Protector software that is just one item on my sales page....

If you go to: Work-At-Home-Toolbox.com item number 32 will do this for you. It will protect your page and make it so that it can not be accessed directly.

It must be passed a special code to be seen and if someone tries to direct access it, it will bounce them back to your main page....

This is just a single tool in the toolbox and you can get a wide range of tools for a low price.

Go have a look and see if this is what you are looking for!

You could always do a .htaccess redirect too!

I also don't see a reason for that but if it really is what you want, Richard Whyte's solution might do the trick for you.

There are many ways to do this. A simple way to do this would be to use sites such as tinyurl to cloak your links.
