Hi ,
I am a total newbie that have relied on "click and point set up" system to get started on IM with no results.
Please bear with me as I try to make this as clear as possible:
(a) Purchased a software product on IM that came with a free website and hosting package for 2 years. The website creator is not the same company that provides the hosting services
(b) Had intended for the website to be a sales funnel for gadgets available on Amazon.com
(c) Purchased a domain name appropriate for this purpose but ended up with a website that is about online shopping in general. Hence, the domain name is now incongruent with content on the website.
(d) Was told I need to register a new domain name and have the contents uploaded from the current website.
(e) For those of you willing to perform this task, please quote your fee. I need some basic questions answered as I am clueless as to what is happening.
(f) If you are interested, please let me know and how I can contact you
(g) I used a fake name for this email. My real name is B C Kum

People are not allowed to offer to perform a service in this forum.

And you can get that done for free.
Since you are a complete newby call Hostgator.
They will help you register a domain at a typical rate.
They will set up your hosting, and for free they will copy your content
    from the old domain.

One more thing to keep in mind in regards to SEO (search engine optimization). Transferring the content from your old site to a new site as is may result in a duplicate content penalty if it is done incorrectly. Google and other search engines could potentially view your first site as the original "author" of your content, and the second site as a "scraper" site that is stealing that content.

Your best bet is to 301 redirect all the old pages to the new pages to show the search engines that your old site has permanently moved to the new domain. This will also pass link juice from the old site to the new site. If not, you can always create new content from scratch. Good luck!

My problem - I want to transfer the blog posts from one domain to another, without being penalized for duplicate content. My plan:
      1. delete the posts from blog 1
      2 wait (1month?)
3.publish the posts one by one to blog 2 (on another domain)
      4.set a redirect from blog1 to blog 2
Blog 1 has few visitors and is not important for me. I need content for my blog 2 (part of my main website)
Is it a good procedure and is there a better solutions?
I think I shouldn't submit the "new" posts again to social or bookmarking website (duplicate content), or can I make it with different titles and rewritten description?

geoio, Don't make this so hard! LOL

Ricky Bobby already gave you the best advice...
Your best bet is to 301 redirect all the old pages to the new pages to show the search engines that your old site has permanently moved to the new domain.

Put your content in the new location, when all looks good, delete the content in the original location...then use the 301 immediately, ok?

I don't know your hosting company but I use Bluehost and together with Fantastico they have SimpleScripts to create wordpress blogs. In Simplescripts you can either install a new blog or copy an existing one. Everything you want to do in one go. Maybe other hosts have the same option?

If your site isn't that heavy of traffic just copy your content via the clipboard (copy and paste) and create a new one.

Check out Wordpress as well on this forum - a great way to go.
