    When you say "automatic tool" there's no doubt you are thinking of something like Wordpress. In all reality there is no such thing as an automatic tool for creating websites though Wordpress is probably as close as you'll find. Also if you get a hosting account that offers Wordpress as an option it will likely have Fantastaco as an installer for Wordpress making the setup of your website literally "automatic" All this gives you is a live site. You still have to build and design your site to suite your needs.

    Agreed. I would recommend WordPress as the best tool. I do recommend using a theme company (if you want to purchase a premium theme) that has a good control panel. Many are not as "user friendly" as others and don't have good plug-and-play features. You want to be able to make easy design changes if you don't have the know-how to change the code directly.

    Many theme companies will allow you to "test drive" their themes before you decide to buy. Definitely take advantage of that!

    That's is rather an odd question, since there is no "automatic design" tool.

    If you want to create a website and have no clue about programing, then you're best of using wordpress and get some free themes.

    If you want to do everything from scratch, Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

    Joomla is a great free open source to design website. Wordpress is easy to use but it get more difficult to build a professional website. Joomla need much time to build a website but you can do it whatever you want.

    There're also some websites allow you to make a website such as moonfruit, weebly, hpage, webstarts, jimdo .... If you only need a website with simple data, you can use them.
