Hello fellow Warriors.
Im hoping that there are some clever folk here who can give me a hand ;-)
I recently set up a wordpress.org site. I managed to post my first post with ease but for some reason or other it won't allow me to do it the second time around. I can write in the title box but when I move the cursor into the content box nothing gets highlighted.

Anwyay, any help would be much appreciated. Kind regards
Cadi

Cadi..please reinstall them and try again. This might fix the issue.

I wish people would stop posting stuff like this^^

You do NOT have a site on wordpress.org. Nobody has a site on wordpress.org - except the owner of that domain (Matt).

You have your own site on your own domain, which happens to be using the free script that can be downloaded from wordpress.org...

    (end of rant)

FYI: re-installing, unless you have positive proof that the installation went wrong, is a stupid advice.

    Troubleshooting should go like this:
    - what did I do on my site between the successful posting and the unsuccessful one? What kind of changes (plugins, theme, messing with code) did I do in the meantime?
    - let's undo all of them and check if the "thing" works!
    - revert back to a no-plugin, only-default-theme state and check it!
    - if it still doesn't work: ask my host what did they change in the server's settings lately
    - ask for specialized help in the WP forums (yes, they have one)

If all/any of the first 3 option above don't work, try reverting back to the default Twenty Ten or Twenty Eleven theme which came with the original installation and try to post. This will establish whether or not your issue is with the theme you are using.

Also, maybe not associated, but my personal 'soapbox' - go into your profile and disable the horrible visual editor (top option).

Man this could be a ton of stuff, but usually when I have weird errors like this it is one of two things...

    1) I just installed a plugin that broke my stuff.
    2) My browser is hosed up.

The first thing I usually do is clear my browser's cache. If that dont work, restart the browser. If the problem is still there, try another browser (use IE if you are using Firefox, etc)

If none of that works, I really look closely at my plugins. Sometimes they don't play well together. But get rid of the last one you installed.

In short, Follow Istvan's advice step by step. It could be a number of things...you are better off figuring it out than simply blindly re-installing and restarting over.
